BALTISTAN

Baltistan lies in Pakistan’s northeastern most corner and in the heart of the Karakoram Mountains. Baltistan has four districts, i.e. Skardu, Shigar, Kharmang and Ghanche with the population of about 400,000. To the north of Baltistan its border is China, to the east Laddakh, Kashmir is to the south and Gilgit region to the west.  Summers are pleasant, yet with strong winds weeping across the Indus valley, while winters are harsh, receive heavy snowfall and cold leaving the region isolated. Among the fourteen highest mountain of the world six mountains are located in Baltistan including the second highest peak the K2. In addition, of the peaks the flowing rivers and streams, sleeping lakes at various landscape and the mountain ranges (Himalaya, and Karakorum) are the gift and bless of the God for natural lovers, tourists and visitors.

SHIGAR

Shigar is a District, located in the north of Skardu town at the distance of 30km. The population of Shigar is about 70,000. After 40 kms from Shigar Center, the valley further divide into two sub valleys Basha Valley and Braldo Valley. Jeep able road are accessible to the last villages of these valleys Arandu Basha (175km from Skardu) and Askoli Braldo (170km from Skardu) later on a ranges of pastures, high mountains and glaciers are started. The world’s 2^nd highest  peak, K2, Gashabroom, Concordia, Broad peak, Ghondoghoro, Spangtik, lily peak, Trango Tower, Broad peak, Gashabrum and many other glaciers and mountains are exist in these valleys. In addition, Shigar Fort, Khanqah Mullah, Amobriq Mosque, AmachaGang Gulabpur, Khanqa Gulabpur, Hot Spring Chutron and Besil, Shah Nasir Peak View and Blind lake and cold deserts are the tourist attraction area in Shigar. Tormik Chutron La and Shigar Thaley law are very easy, safe and having lots of options for the tourist viewing of peaks and glaciers, high altitude farming, lakes view, pastures view, wild life, herbs and sherbs etc. and enjoy yak and horse safari.
